At Ninja Companion, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal data you share with us. This policy outlines how we handle your information:

• Data Collection: We collect minimal personal information necessary to provide app functionality, such as account credentials, athlete profiles, training logs, and competition schedules. If you sync health data (such as Apple Health integration for daily steps/workouts), this data is used strictly within the app to calculate your Daily Challenges and is never sold or shared with third parties.

• Children's Privacy: Because Ninja Companion is designed for families, parents, and youth athletes, we take extra care to ensure child safety. Accounts for minors are managed and linked under a parent subscription.

Safe for All Athletes (COPPA Compliance)

Ninja Companion is designed with youth safety in mind. To ensure full compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and meet Apple and Google App Store standards:

• Age Verification: A quick birth year check is integrated at the very start of the signup flow.

• Under 13 Protection: Users under 13 are blocked from creating independent accounts and are instead directed to have a parent or coach sign up and manage their profile for them.

• Data Usage: Information is used solely to maintain your account, sync squad progress, display heat schedules, and power features like GritLog and avatar customization.

Age Suitability

• Ninja Companion is designed for ninja obstacle course athletes of all competitive ages. The app includes a COPPA-compliant age gate at registration: users are required to enter their birth year before creating an account. Users who are under 13 are not permitted to create an account.

• The app contains no violent content, no adult themes, no user-generated public content visible to strangers, no social networking features, no in-app advertising, and no gambling mechanics. XP, achievements, and streaks are earned through logging real athletic training activity.

• Athlete profiles can be set to private or visible only within a family group or squad. The app is appropriate for ages 13 and up, though athletes of all ages participate in ninja sports — younger athletes (under 13) must be managed through a parent's account.

• The app's primary audience is competitive ninja athletes, their parents, and coaches.
